After All |

I
wonder why nothing ever changes, Everybody
should have got the news by now. Armed
with all the wisdom of the ages, We
still can’t change a sword into a plow. And
after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale, And
you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday. My
arrival was the same as everyone. I
was born with nothing in my hand. Yet
today I was just sittin’ in the sun, And
I felt the fire that’s burnin’ all the land. Some
may say it’s just imagination, In
a few more years they’ll say the sky was never blue. And
the rich ones still claim there’s no relation To
the things they’ve done, and the things they’re gonna do. And
after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale, And
you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday If
a flaming mountain fell into the ocean, And
no one looked, how would anyone see? And
how could anyone have such a notion, If
it were not possible for such a thing to be? Some
may say, “It could never happen.” They
used to say their little world was flat. If
there’s a reason nothing ever changes, They
are a fine, fine, example of that. And
after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale, And
you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday And
after all, you can’t find freedom if it ain’t for sale, And
you can’t buy tomorrow if you’re still payin’ for yesterday
