Broken Wheel |

Oh
the Dragon and the Dove were a-meetin' in the sky,
and
everybody else was left to wonder. Oh
the speculation, and the consultation was the goin' thing. An
ancient revelation with no new interpretation 'bout a familiar King. Chorus: Round
and round it goes, like a wheel broken off, rolling'
away down the hill like it's never gonna stop. When is it gonna stop?
Nobody
knows. The
Angel , and the Devil were dancin' to a different tune, and
the day was growin' long. Oh
the teachers and preachers all claim to know just
how to sing that song. But
they never stop to listen to the living word. Well
the corporate beast had a first class feast on
the substance of life, and
not a single soul could find their way out. And
the programmed dedication to the misrepresentation of reality, made
the situation just another complication for you and me. Chorus: Round
and round it goes, like a wheel broken off, rolling'
away down the hill like it's never gonna stop. When is it gonna stop?
Nobody knows. Somewhere
on an imagined mountainside, the
truth labors to be born. But
the kings and politicians, and the angel, and the devil, and
the teachers, and preachers agree; They
don't want to listen to the living word.
