The Real Rainbow |

Well I went up to the mountain to make ready for a king, to join the celebration of the wedding of the spring. Well I don't know what to say, but you can go if you know the way.
Now I brought my inspiration, and the love I have to give with thoughts of world salvation, and the peace with which to live. All my life I've watched the children roam with all of our strife just to get us home.
Now when I found the circle it was so pleasin' to my eye but the voices that I heard there seemed to be someone else's cries, and the real rainbow was in the sky but on the ground it was only....
Now some they came and they told me like they'd chosen every word, to teach me and to scold me, and to make me feel absurd. But all I could hear was a frightenin' sound of creepin' fear dancin' all around.
It was screaming "MONEY!" "We want you your MONEY!" "MONEY! Give us your money!" But even thought it was just our fate, the lie must go before it's much too late.
Now I saw the lightning that was coming from the sun, but too few saw the brightening in the coming of the one. Yet in their eyes some love was there, and though some despised, some did care.
Yesterday is of the past. Tomorrow may come but it will not last. Today is life, there is no more, and when the child king comes you will know for sure.
And the real rainbow is in the sky, and on the ground it's only you and I. Only you and me.
Maybe tomorrow the sun will rise, and we'll all be seeing the light in our eyes. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow.
