Seen A Better Day |

Well
I went to listen in on the internet, but
what I could find, I could not get. Sounded
like the same old song to me, tho
I tried to listen 'cause they said it was free. Looking
for the memories of a lost and hopeful day, passed
along the way. Tried
so hard to hear, but it would not come through. all
that lousy stream compression, and distortion too. You'd
think with all that money you could lighten up a bit. If
you're gonna give it for free, don't make it sound like shit. Living
with a Hero that's seen a better day, A
lot like me. Who
am I to question anything he has to say? Once
he was light in his way. We've
been singing about freedom for
oh so ever long. But
only in top forty do they listen to the song. Nobody's
got exclusive access to the truth, you
can find it anywhere if
you only look. The
writing on the wall is so easy to read, if
you got the eyes to see. I
smoked marijuana when I
wrote this song, and
no matter what they say there ain't nothin' wrong, 'cept
this cadre of evil that's taken all of
the land, you
say you did not know, you
did not understand. We've
been living in the shadow
of an ancient evil way, but
now, now you say? Living
with a Hero that's seen a better day, A
lot like me. Who
am I to question anything he has to say? Once he was light in his way.
Living
with a Hero that's seen a better day, A
lot like me. Who
am I to question anything he has to say? Once he was light in his way.
