The Lyrics of Terry Hubbard

Weird World

written 1994 © 1994 - 2010 by T. Hubbard

Well it’s a weird world, yes it is.

It’s a weird world, yes it is.

People goin’ nowhere as if nowhere was a place to go.

Oh it’s a weird world, yes it is.

People makin’ their religions about gods’ they don’t even know.

Oh it’s a weird world

And words can’t tell the meaning of the truth,

When wrong is right, and black is white, and don’t you dare dispute.

Time has become our enemy,

While the rich spend yours, and the rich spend mine

Over mid-day tea.

Oh it’s a weird world.

And you wonder just how long it will take,’

‘till they get down and admit their mistake.

Did they make the sky blue?

Did they make the rain?

Did they hear the thunder?

Did they feel the pain?

Oh it’s a weird world.

Well it’s a weird world, yes it is.

It’s a weird world, yes it is,

And the weird world is the human race,

People who don’t know just why in hell or heaven they are here.

There’s just a few fools, standin’ in a lofty place,

And they can only rule the rest through pain, and death, and fear.

Oh it’s a weird world.

And you wonder just how long it will take,’

‘till they get down and admit their mistake.

Did they make the sky blue?

Did they make the rain?

Did they hear the thunder?

Did they feel the pain?

Oh it’s a weird world.

Optional version:

Oh it’s a weird world.

And it makes  you wonder just how long it will take,’

‘till they get down and admit their mistake.

Well they don’t make the sky blue

And they didn’t make the rain

They didn’t hear the thunder

But they’re gonna feel the pain.

Oh it’s a weird world
