Freedom Buyers Liberty's Chains |
|
written 1989 © 1989 - 2006 by T. Hubbard Here
I am past my time, What
I believe has become a crime. I
did not ask to be this way, it’s what I am , what can I say? Freedom
buyers, liberty’s chains, Won’t
you leave alone what still remains? I
am a man born in strife, Struggle
and pain most all my life. I
did not choose for this to be, Those
lawyers made a war on me. Freedom
buyers, liberty’s chains, Do
the buffalo still roam the plains? Fighting
for rights defined on Wall Street, Swords
for the Lords of the American Empire, Wealth
and power hold the meaning of justice.. Is
this not the way it has ever been? Breathing
in this Earth, this air, It’s
a wonder that so few would care. It’s
a lesson in love just being here, Fishing
for faith in a sea of fear. Did
you listen to ‘em talking about
a “New World Order” like
a beast risin’ up we thought was dead. Fighting
for rights defined on Wall Street, Swords
for the Lords of the American Empire, Wealth
and power hold the meaning of justice.. There’s
political clown acts, liars for hire. Who
really did start the Waco fire. Did
you listen to ‘em talking About
a “New World Order” Like
a beast rising up we though was dead. Fighting
for rights defined on Wall Street, Swords
for the Lords of the American Empire, Wealth
and power hold the meaning of justice.. Is
this not the way it has ever been?
