Wind Blowin’ Home |

There’s
a wind blowin’ home, ‘cross
the smoke choked highways of inequity with
the light of our hope to
make a place where every man can stand free. But
your money won’t buy it, There’s
no time for sale in an eternity, And
(But) it really don’t matter, Just
open your own eyes and then you’ll see. So
many years, so many tears, And
it was so, so long We
waited for the dawn, oh yeah. There
was a wall that came down Like
something God might have put in our dreams, As
a sign unto all That
most of the world ain’t as real as it seems. But
don’t think it’s over, The
war may be won, but death still has its means. In
a world such as this, a wise one would hold on to their dreams. So
many brave, all in the grave, And
it was so, so long, we waited for the dawn. There’s
a flower in the desert that blooms in the spring Once
every two thousand years. It’s
a cure for all evil, a medicine made to do away with all fears. But
many wont find it, there’s a veil of deception covering
their eyes and their ears. It’s
a gift for the children, a
compassionate savior redeeming their tears. So
much denied, cause so many lied, And
it was so, so long we waited for the dawn. O yeah.
